HOW MUCH DOES THE PITA COST?
Halil İbrahim Balcı, President of the Turkish Bakers Federation, made a statement on Ramadan pita prices, saying, “This year, the maximum price to be applied in Turkey will be 10 TL per 300 grams; the price per kilogram is 33 TL. This year, there has been a price change of between 60% and 62%,” he said.
Regarding the prices of bread, Balcı said: “There is no change in the price of bread, bread is 5 TL in the whole country; “There is no change in the price of bread on our agenda,” he said.
İBB PITA PRICE 5 TL
On the other hand, İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu announced on his social media account the price of Ramadan pita, which will be produced by İBB subsidiary company Halk Ekmek A.Ş.
İmamoğlu said: “Our citizens will be able to buy 300 grams of pita at People’s Bread kiosks for 5 TL during Ramadan. We will continue to offer cheap and delicious bread to the people of Istanbul.”
