Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Israeli President Herzog

According to the statement from the Communications Presidency, relations between Turkey and Israel were discussed at the meeting held last night.

While Israeli President Herzog congratulated Ramadan at the meeting, President Erdoğan congratulated the Passover Festival, which Jews will celebrate in April.

President Erdoğan thanked Israel’s President Herzog for his solidarity and support during the earthquake, saying they remain determined to strengthen relations between Turkey and Israel.

Expressing that he is deeply concerned about the increasing attacks and acts of violence in the West Bank these days as Ramadan approaches, Erdoğan expressed that it is important not to allow provocations and threats against the historical status and spirituality of Masjid al-Aqsa.

Erdogan thanked Herzog for his efforts so far to maintain calm and the status quo. (AA)
