The far-right has been recorded as committing 20,520 crimes in Germany in 2017, 20,431 in 2018, and 22,342 crimes in 2019.

The number of crimes committed by the extreme right, which reached a record of 23,604 in 2020, was set at 21,964 in 2021.

The number of crimes committed by the extreme right increased again in 2022 and was determined at 23,083. The final report on the subject will be released in the coming months. It is claimed that the number may surpass the record level in 2022.

While a significant portion of the crimes in question were recorded as propaganda offences, far-right groups committed 1,138 acts of violence in 2022.

According to the government’s responses to parliamentary questions, the violence in question increased.

While there were 1,156 acts of violence by the far-right in 2018, this number was recorded as 986 in 2019, 1,092 in 2020, and 1,042 in 20,221.

2,639 anti-Jewish crimes committed

In 2022, a total of 2,639 crimes against Jews were committed in Germany. While 788 crimes were committed in the first quarter of 2022, 692 in the second quarter, 653 in the third quarter, and 506 in the fourth quarter, 88 of them were reported to be acts of anti-Semitic violence. A total of 31 people were injured in these incidents.

ANTI-ISLAMIC CRIMES RISE

At least 569 crimes against mosques and Muslims were committed in Germany in 2022.

According to the answers given by the German government to parliamentary questions, 112 crimes were registered in the first quarter of 2022, 132 in the second quarter, 174 in the third quarter and 151 in the fourth quarter of 2022 in the field of the fight against Islamic crimes.

It was stated that these were crimes such as inciting the public, insulting, insulting, threatening, damaging property or using unconstitutional symbols.

While 25 people were injured as part of the attacks on Muslims, the mosque was attacked at least 45 times last year, including 9 in the first quarter, 11 in the second quarter, 14 in the third quarter and 11 in the fourth quarter. of 2022 .

The perpetrators of most of the crimes and attacks in question were reported to be right-wing extremists.

ATTACKS AGAINST REFUGEES INCREASE

In 2022, there was a significant increase in attacks on refugee shelters in Germany.

According to government data, there were 121 attacks on refugee homes in 2022.
While 70 attacks on refugee shelters were recorded in 2021, these attacks increased by 73 percent in 2022.
