France welcomes Turkey’s decision against Finland

In the statement made by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that Turkey and then Hungary declared their intention to ratify the protocol on Finland’s NATO membership was welcomed.

In the statement, it was emphasized that France supported the joint and urgent requests of Sweden and Finland to join NATO from the very beginning.

“Sweden and Finland have significant and interoperable military capabilities with NATO. Therefore, its membership will make a decisive contribution to the security of the Euro-Atlantic region and the allies”.
