Turkey White House Statement
The White House reported that US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Turkish Presidential Spokesman İbrahim Kalın discussed regional and global issues as well as bilateral relations.
The White House issued a written statement on the meeting between Sullivan and Kalın, who met in the capital, Washington, on March 14. During the meeting, it was indicated that Sullivan reiterated his message of condolences for the earthquakes that occurred in Turkey, and it was noted that the US stated that it will continue to support the people of Turkey in this process.
In the statement, it was claimed that the parties discussed a number of regional and global developments, as well as Turkey’s efforts to renew the Black Sea Grain Shipping Initiative and Russia’s ongoing attacks on Ukraine.
In the statement, it was noted that the parties also discussed bilateral defense cooperation with the support they provided to the ongoing negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
