Saudi Arabia denied visa to Israeli delegation
According to the news from the Israel Public Broadcasting Organization (KAN), Saudi Arabia refused to grant a visa to the Israeli delegation invited to the United Nations World Tourism Organization conference.
In the Bloomberg report, it was claimed that the Riyadh administration failed to show a reason for this attitude, and that such an attitude was exhibited despite the UN’s demand for “equal treatment for all members of the organization.” The Saudi Arabian authorities have not yet ruled on the matter.
The two-day conference organized by the World Tourism Organization on 32 resort towns in 18 countries started yesterday in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia.
There are no diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel. In addition, the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran on the resumption of diplomatic relations on March 10, after a 7-year hiatus, is predicted to negatively affect the “chances for normalization” between Israel and Saudi Arabia.
