German trade union Verdi has called on security guards at airports in Berlin, Hamburg, Hanover and Bremen to go on strike on Monday. Security guards would not be paid enough for the work, which often takes place at irregular hours. According to Verdi, the compensation for this irregularity has not been increased since 2006.
