North Korean exercise: he followed the launch of the missile with his daughter
According to North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the North Korean military has conducted a new exercise against the US and South Korean exercises on the Korean peninsula.
Kim, who participated with his daughter in the artillery firing exercise conducted toward North Korea’s coastal region, called on the army to be “prepared against the enemy’s war preparations.”
Kim said that the border troops should develop their relevant capabilities to successfully fulfill the strategic tasks assigned to them and to gain advantage in case of war.
Photos published in Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, show that at least 6 artillery shells were fired during the exercise.
The missile test was on the international public opinion agenda.
In a statement about the exercise, South Korea’s Unification Ministry urged the North not to escalate tensions with “reckless” provocations.
Kim Ju Ae, the daughter of the North Korean leader, has participated in numerous military events since November 2022.
MISSILE TESTS INCREASE IN 2023
North Korea’s missile tests last year and the joint military exercise between South Korea and the United States once again raised tensions in the region.
North Korea has increased ballistic missile tests and exercises in recent months.
The Pyongyang administration, which has launched more than 90 missiles of various types and ranges, fired 23 missiles in a single day in November 2022.
Pyongyang also conducted a ballistic missile test in the early hours of 2023.
In response to increased North Korean missile tests in recent weeks, South Korea said it was conducting air exercises with the United States.
North Korea announced on February 24 that it would consider the continuation of US “hostile activities” on the Korean Peninsula a “declaration of war.” (AA)
