According to information based on the police and the fire department of the Generalitat de Catalunya, at least 3 miners who were trapped inside lost their lives in the collapse that occurred around 09:00 (TSI 11:00) in the mine potash belonging to the company ICL Iberia.

Pere Aragonés, head of the autonomous administration of Catalonia, expressed his condolences to the families of the workers who died in the accident, while the local government’s Interior and Labor councilors immediately traveled to the region.

It was shared that 2 people died in an accident that occurred in the same mine in 2013.
