Prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry announced that a prisoner exchange with Russia took place and that 130 Ukrainian prisoners of war returned to the country.
“As a result of the prisoner exchange, 130 more Ukrainian soldiers are returning home,” the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a statement. 126 men and 4 women were released from Russian captivity.
Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, made remarks about the exchange.
Yermak said: “Another POW exchange. 130 soldiers, men and women, successfully returned to Ukraine. Among them are many defenders of Mariupol. I am proud of the team that has worked long and hard for this change.”

90 Russian soldiers, who were captured in the Russia-Ukraine war and released as a result of prisoner exchange negotiations between the two countries, have returned to their countries. (AA)
