Kremlin: the necessary conditions for peace in Ukraine have not been created

Kremlin spokesman Dmitriy Peskov claimed that the necessary conditions for the transition to the path of peace have not been created in the resolution of the Ukraine issue, saying: “Washington does not want this war to end.”

Peskov, speaking to reporters in the capital Moscow, assessed the situation in Ukraine. Responding to the question about the plan that China presented to Russia regarding the resolution of the Ukraine issue, Peskov said they attach importance to the views of his Chinese colleagues.

Emphasizing that the “special military operation” they started in Ukraine continues, Peskov said: “In this case, the necessary conditions for the transition to the peaceful path did not exist. Therefore, Russia is trying to achieve its goals by continuing the special military operation, ”he said.

Pointing out that the United States is behind the war in Ukraine, Peskov said: “Washington doesn’t want this war to end. Washington will do everything possible to continue this war,” he said. (AA)
