Biden Said ‘We Won’t’: Notable Development Over F-16s
As debate continues over whether the US will give Ukraine an F-16, uncertainty continues…
A notable statement came from the US Department of Defense after US President Joe Biden announced on a television show that F-16s would not be sent to Ukraine.
Defense Ministry officials said that with this training, Ukrainian pilots will be more effective and receive advice to improve their own skills. He also noted that the event in Arizona will improve relations between Ukrainian and US personnel and will be an opportunity for Ukrainian pilots to observe how the US Air Force operates.
While the officials stressed that there are no new developments regarding the delivery of F-16s to Ukraine, Washington remains silent on whether it will supply Ukraine with fighter jets or advanced drones used remotely by pilots.
Colin Kahl of the Defense Department said in a statement to the House committee that the United States has not begun training the Ukrainians on F-16s.
