US Chief of Staff’s visit to Syria provokes strong reaction

The US Chief of Staff, General Mark Milley, visited the regions occupied by the terrorist organization YPG/PKK in northern Syria.

Colonel Dave Butler, spokesman for the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, said: “General Milley visited northern Syria today to meet with (US) commanders and troops. He received an update on the mission to combat ISIS, reviewed force protection measures, and assessed efforts to repatriate refugees in the Hol refugee camp.”

Milley’s visit provoked a reaction from the Damascus administration.

According to US media reports, Milley, when asked by reporters traveling with him whether it was worth the risk of deploying approximately 900 US troops to Syria, replied: “If you think this is important, then my answer is yes.”

The Damascus administration lashed out at the visit by Milley, whose backbone was made up of the PKK/PYD/YPG terror organizations, who banded together to conduct investigations there.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry issued a statement today. Syrian news agency SANA quoted the statement: “It is illegal and an egregious violation of the country’s territorial integrity for a senior US official to go to a military base in north-eastern Syria without informing them.” (AGENCIES)
