Flight precaution before strikes in France

According to the news based on the DGAC statement to the local press, the cancellation of 20 percent of the flights at the CDG airport in Paris and 30 percent of those from other airports was requested.

On the other hand, the country’s unions called to stop life with massive strikes, demonstrations and marches scheduled for March 7 throughout the country against the controversial pension reform.

Intelligence sources predict that between 1.1 and 1.4 million people will participate in the protests as part of the strike that will take place throughout the country, and between 60,000 and 90,000 people in the demonstrations in Paris.

According to the unions, 300,000 people and 37,000 according to the police participated in the protests held on February 16 against the controversial pension reform in Paris.

Controversial PENSION REFORM

French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced on January 10 that the pension reform, which was among President Emmanuel Macron’s election promises, would be implemented.

Noting that in the country where the retirement age is 62, the statutory retirement age will gradually increase by 3 months each year and will increase to 64 in 2030, starting on September 1, Borne said that in 2027, a 43 year premium payment requirement will be entered to receive the full pension.
