The much-talked-about claim from the opposition site: Putin bought ‘the biggest house in Russia’ from his mistress

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has come under fire for his occupation of Ukraine for more than a year, has been claimed to have spent a fortune on his “secret lover”, former Olympian Alina Kabayeva for years.

According to the story in the British newspaper The Times, which is based on the opposition website Project, which is banned in Russia, Putin bought “the biggest house in Russia” for Kabayeva, who is said to be the mother of at least three children. . The wooden house on the outskirts of the city is said to be one of many residences secretly owned by the former gymnast.

It was noted that there are many children’s playgrounds in the villa, which was specially built for Kabayeva.

The luxurious house on the shores of Lake Valday is said to be the secret love nest of Putin and his girlfriend.

Kabayeva, 39, described as the “Uncrowned Queen of Russia”, is claimed to have been in a relationship with Putin, 70, since the early 2000s, when the Russian leader was still married. The Kremlin confirmed in 2014 that Putin had divorced his wife of 30 years, Ludmilla.

PUTIN’S TOP SECRET SHELTER

According to the Project report, Putin spent millions of pounds, some of which was obtained illegally, for his secret lover, which he never revealed. Among the properties that the Russian leader bought for his mistress is a 2,600-square-meter villa in Sochi. The 20-room villa, registered in the name of Oleg Rudnov, a person close to Putin, also has special areas such as a cinema room, a swimming pool, helipad and spa.

The photos were published by the opposition’s Project website.

Other properties belonging to Putin’s girlfriend are registered with Kabayeva’s grandmother, Anna Zatsepilina, and other relatives. Officially registered properties in Zatsepilina are worth £10 million (TL 227 million).

The draft also stated that the village on the shore of Lake Valday, which is Putin’s favorite haunt, is protected by the air defense system installed by the Defense Ministry. It is claimed that Putin went to this house on an armored train leaving from a secret train station.

Opposition leader Alexei Navalni, who was jailed in Russia, had previously released photos of residences said to belong to Putin. It was alleged that these properties were obtained with State resources.
