UN West Bank Statement
In a statement on his Twitter account, Wennesland drew attention to the growing violence in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
“We are deeply concerned about the deteriorating security situation in the West Bank and especially about the violence we have witnessed in Huwwara in the last 24 hours.” he used the phrase.
Wennesland stressed that security forces are responsible for ensuring safety and preventing individuals from doing their own justice.
Wennesland, conveying its condolences to the families of the two Israeli brothers who were killed in an armed attack by a Palestinian yesterday in the town of Huwwara, and to the family of the Palestinian who lost their lives during the retaliatory attack by Jewish settlers, who many people were injured and their houses burned down in Huwwara, they called for the perpetrators of the violence to be held to account.
Wennesland stressed that acts of violence, provocation and incitement must be stopped immediately and these actions must be condemned by all.
