Biden: Ukraine doesn’t need F-16s right now

00:25 | US President Joe Biden says he can’t rule out Ukraine getting the F-16s right now. “They don’t need it right now,” Biden said in an interview with ABC News. “That’s why I’m ruling it out at this point.”

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky has been asking for F-16s or similar Western fighters for months. He has already received modern tanks, but NATO countries and other allies are hesitant to deliver fighter jets to Ukraine.

Earlier this month, the Netherlands said it would consider a Ukrainian request for fighter jets “gracefully” but also stressed that this cannot happen “today or tomorrow”.
