Ukrainian President Zelenskiy held a press conference in kyiv due to the first year of the Ukraine-Russia war and answered journalists’ questions about the agenda.

“If President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan set up a negotiating table for peace in Ankara and Russian President Vladimir Putin waited at this table, would you accept this negotiation proposal to stop the conflicts?” the AA correspondent said. Emphasizing that they had a good meeting, Zelenskiy expressed his condolences for the earthquakes in Turkey.

Describing the earthquakes in Turkey as a “great tragedy”, Zelenskiy claimed that they sent help to Turkey with professional search and rescue teams and planes, if necessary.

Zelensky said: “This is also painful for us. As a country at war, we accept human losses as our own.” saying.

“ERDOĞAN DID IMPORTANT THINGS FOR UKRAINE”

Emphasizing that he is grateful to President Erdogan for his initiatives, including the grain deal, Zelenskiy also reiterated his gratitude to Erdogan for taking back Azov battalion captives, who could be executed by Russia.

Zelenskiy stressed that Erdogan has done some important things for Ukraine.

“(FOR NEGOTIATIONS) NOTHING TO TALK ABOUT”

Regarding the issue of sitting at the peace negotiating table with Putin, Zelenskiy said: “I don’t accept this (sitting at the table). He (Erdogan) knows my position. I introduced myself to him and we talked to him before the war. Erdogan to ‘Putin sit at the table.’ I said. I have said this to many. Put Putin at the negotiating table. Stating that his main goal is to defend the territorial integrity of his country, Zelenskiy pointed out that they want the war to end and there to be peace, using the following expressions:

“Everyone (Ukrainians) wants to liberate all our regions. We really want to win because we deserve it. I really want the war to end. We really want peace.”

Stating that they are making the necessary preparations to regain control of Ukrainian lands from Russian forces, Zelenskiy continued as follows:

“Everything depends on us. It depends on all of us. There are military steps, we are preparing for them. We are mentally prepared. We are technically prepared. We are preparing ourselves with the formation of weapons, reinforcements and brigades, especially with the formation of assault brigades of different categories and of different qualities”.

“RUSSIA CAN GO TO THE LIMITS OF NATO”

In his speech, Zelenskiy stressed the importance of US arms support for Ukraine and noted that such aid must continue.

Zelenskiy, who argued that if US arms support for Ukraine is reduced, NATO member states along with his country could also be put in danger, saying:

“Who wants a third world war? Do you really want to risk it? The United States will never leave NATO countries, never will. If Ukraine cannot survive due to the weakening of this or that aid, Russia will move closer to the NATO countries.

“IT’S NOT SO BIG IF CHINA STARTS TALKING ABOUT UKRAINE”

Commenting on a 12-point peace plan created by China regarding the war in Ukraine, Zelenskiy said: “It seems to me that this was not a Chinese peace plan, solution or declaration. It seems to me that the Chinese only showed their thoughts. It’s not bad that China starts talking about Ukraine. ” He made the assessment of him.

Noting that the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s statement on the issue also included views he disagreed with, Zelenskiy said: “There are views I don’t agree with. It seems to me that the whole world disagrees. “We must work with China. Our job is to bring everyone together to isolate some,” he used his statements.

“WE WILL WIN”

Stating that they will strive to win the war and take back the occupied lands, Zelenekiy said: “I don’t even want to think that we will be in the current situation on February 24, 2024. It would be terrible. I don’t even want to think about it. We will win.” He said.
