Malcolm X family sues $100 million

Noting that they will also seek compensation for the daughters of Malcolm X in the lawsuit to be filed, Crump said: “No one can imagine what they have endured. There was no justice and we will file a $100 million wrongful death lawsuit against these relevant government agencies on behalf of their daughters.” saying.
Stating that there is “no amount” for the family of Malcolm X to make up for what they went through, Crump said: “The only thing they can do is right a historical wrong not only for their family, but also for their people and the world. ” he used the phrase.
Crump noted that the names of Muhammed Aziz and Halil Islam, who were acquitted last year after serving long years in prison on charges of assassinating Malcolm X, said they believe their acquittal would support the claims in the lawsuit they will file.

Malcolm X was assassinated while giving a speech in Harlem on February 21, 1965.
The question of who killed Malcolm X was not fully clarified even after decades of the assassination, and three people who were arrested after the assassination were sentenced to life in prison.
The case of Aziz Mohammed and Halil Islam, convicted of murdering Malcolm X, was re-examined after the Malcolm X documentary aired on Netflix in 2020.
In the documentary in question it was stated that there was little evidence about the people accused of being the assassin of Malcolm X, that these people were unjustly imprisoned and that there were contradictions in the testimonies of witnesses.
Following the investigations, in November 2021, New York Supreme Court Justice Ellen Biben announced that the charges against the two defendants were dropped.
