Russian intelligence: we do not guarantee security for Biden, who went to kyiv
Russia’s intelligence agency, the Federal Security Service (FSB), announced that it gave US President Joe Biden no guarantees about his visit to kyiv yesterday.
In an FSB statement, it was indicated that Biden, who made a surprise visit to the Ukrainian capital, was not guaranteed safety. In the statement by FSB director Alaksandır Bortnikov, it was noted that the US informed Russia through diplomatic channels prior to the visit.
Biden met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy during his previously unannounced public visit to kyiv, vowing to increase military support for Ukraine.
As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which began on February 24 last year, approaches its one-year anniversary, conflicts in the east of the country are intensifying.
