Following the strong earthquakes on February 6th, a critical meeting was held today… Antony Blinken, who serves as US Secretary of State.
After meeting with the two names that visited the earthquake zone yesterday, they held a press conference and focused on the issues discussed.
Topics such as the earthquake, the F-16, Swedish and Finnish NATO membership and the Russia-Ukraine war were said to have been discussed.
Blinken said: “Washington will continue to support Turkey as long as the time passes after the earthquake. The United States and Turkey may not agree on everything, but the partnership continues despite the difficulties.”
Blinken said: “Turkey and the US have been working together on bilateral and regional agreements around the world for a long time. We strongly support the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO. All other NATO members work hand in hand in the military field. Security will increase when they join NATO,” he said.
