US Secretary of State Blinken arrives in Turkey
While more than 40 thousand people lost their lives in the strong earthquakes, whose epicenter was Kahramanmaraş on February 6, a critical contact took place in Adana today.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who has been working closely with US President Joe Biden for two years, came to Turkey for the first time. Blinken, who did not visit Turkey or Turkish officials despite visiting the region in recent months, came to Adana to conduct investigations and make official contacts in the earthquake zone.

Blinken was received by the US Ambassador to Turkey, Jeff Flake.
In the photos shared by the Reuters news agency, Blinken, who landed at the Incirlik airbase in Adana, was greeted by the US ambassador to Turkey, Jeff Flake, and US personnel.
Subsequently, it was announced that Blinken, who boarded the helicopter with his counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, would conduct an investigation in the earthquake zone.

Blinken and Çavuşoğlu surveyed the earthquake area by helicopter.
The UK-based Reuters news agency reported that Blinken will hold a series of meetings today and tomorrow, with the US official also likely to meet with President Erdogan.
