Aid to earthquake victims in European countries continues

According to information obtained from diplomatic sources, the amount of aid collected at the centers in Milan, Rome, Venice and Brindisi in Italy exceeded 100 tons.

The aid was gradually sent to Turkey to be delivered to earthquake zones by Turkish Airlines (THY) planes, ships and trucks.

Meanwhile, it has been learned that in Malta, a Mediterranean country, about 32 tons of relief material will be sent to Mersin port by ship tomorrow, and 60 tons of relief material are waiting in the port to be sent on the next expedition. .

Part of the aid collected in Malta continues to be sent to Turkey by THY’s daily flights.

THE VATICAN ALSO SENT

It was learned that the Vatican also delivered 5 tons of durable food and hygiene materials to the Vatican Embassy in Turkey to be delivered to citizens in the earthquake zones. In the post shared on the Twitter account of the Vatican Embassy in Turkey, the Vatican was thanked for its support.

On the other hand, 27.5 tons of relief materials collected by the Turkish community living in western Switzerland for the earthquake victims in Turkey were sent to Turkey.

Turkey’s Consul General in Geneva, İpek Zeytinoğlu Özkan, and other officials were present during the loading of the aid onto the cargo plane belonging to THY. THY brought the aid collected for the victims of the earthquake for free. (AA)
