Medical support for earthquake victims from the UK Ministry of Defense

According to a written statement from the British Embassy in Ankara, medical experts from the British Ministry of Defense are providing medical assistance to the earthquake victims. The Royal Air Force Intensive Care Air Support Team (CCAST), consisting of an anesthesiologist, 5 nurses, 3 paramedics, 1 paramedic and 1 medical equipment technician, arrived at Adıyaman Airport with C-130 Hercules aircraft of the RAF.

The injured in the earthquake, their relatives and Turkish medical personnel were transferred last night from Adiyaman to Ankara Etimesgut in a C-130 plane. Regarding the medical support provided by his team, the aircraft’s chief physician, Lt. Col. David Hall, said: “CCAST is always ready to airlift the most seriously ill or injured patients. The team includes a doctor, two flight nurses, medical personnel and technical support. “We are proud to support the UK’s disaster relief response and work to bring care to the sickest of people.”

While the UK is establishing a medical treatment center in the Türkoğlu district of Kahramanmaraş, the center includes 82 personnel from the Royal Air Force’s 16th Medical Regiment and Tactical Medical Wing, with Turkish medical staff and doctors UK-Med charity to provide life-saving assistance. medical treatment and support, it’s working.

While the British Royal Air Force sent more than 15 tonnes of aid to Turkey, a new £25m fund was announced yesterday to support the earthquake response.
