The delegation investigating the 2020 US elections believes there was no cheating

Under the direction of Judge Robert McBurney, the introductory and concluding portions of the relevant report of the committee investigating the results of the 2020 elections by the Fulton County Supreme Court of the state of Georgia, and a section in which the panel expressed concern that some witnesses may have “lied” during the investigative process were made public.

In the report, the members of the delegation, noting that they heard statements from election officials, pollsters and other experts, said they determined that there was no widespread fraud that could cause the results of the 2020 presidential election in the state to of Georgia to be cancelled.

According to the report, which also includes clues about how the investigative team conducted the investigation, 75 witnesses who participated in the 2020 election in various ways testified, and digital evidence and material evidence was collected. In the report, which included the information that the first hearing in the case was held on June 1, 2022, it was noted that some witnesses might have “perjured themselves.”

In the notes to the report, it was noted that the members of the delegation were not experts in the areas of criminal law and electoral law, but attended all the sessions, listened to all the witnesses, and endeavored to make the best interpretation within the framework of the law.

Sections of the report that include recommendations about possible criminal charges continue to be kept confidential. Judge McBurney stated that it is not appropriate to publish the panel’s full report, as the legal process regarding the accused individuals is still ongoing.

Former President Donald Trump claimed that the 2020 election, won by Joe Biden, was rigged and did not accept the election results. Georgia state prosecutors launched an investigation last year to investigate allegations that Trump and his team attempted to falsify election results and alleged Trump voter fraud. (AA)
