The Belgian postal company will collect aid for earthquake victims and send it to Turkey
According to the Bpost statement, those who want to send essential items such as earthquake-resistant food, hygiene products and baby food can do so at Bpost’s 657 offices across the country.
The products to be collected in the campaign, which will last from February 21 to March 31, will be brought to Istanbul by Bpost and delivered to the PTT.
Bpost has posted a list of what to bring to your office for help on their website.
Thus, foods such as meats, fish, vegetables, fruits, soups, cookies, pasta, dried fruits packaged in preserves or in durable and long-lasting containers, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, wet and dry wipes, hygiene products for women, as well as baby food, diapers, underwear can be delivered to Bpost offices.
In addition, products that may be necessary in daily use such as sleeping bags, batteries, blankets will also be accepted as aids. Bpost specifically asked to avoid glass products.
After the aids arrive at the Bpost offices, they will be sorted, packed and transported to Istanbul. PTT will provide relief distribution to earthquake victims. (AA)
