Croatian Prime Minister Plenkovic met in his country’s capital, Zagreb, with the President of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Kristo, who made her first foreign visit to Croatia.

After the bilateral meeting, the parties held a joint press conference. Plenkovic said that he wants to strengthen cooperation in the economic, political and cultural fields between his country and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Stating that his country is among the largest investors in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Plenkovic said, “We will strive to develop cooperation in many different fields, from the energy sector to the pharmaceutical and food sector in the coming period.” he performed the assessment of it.

Expressing that they respect the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Plenkovic argued that the Croatian member of the Presidential Council was elected by Bosniaks in Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying that this is not true and that reform of the electoral law is necessary.

Bosnian Croat politician Kristo also pointed out that reform of the electoral law is necessary, adding that “Croats are not equal to other peoples (Bosnians and Serbs) in the election of their political representatives in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. ”. he used the phrase.

Kristo thanked Croatia for supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path towards the EU and expressed his wish that his country “becomes part of the EU family as soon as possible.”

The parties also noted that an agreement was reached for the governments of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia to hold a joint cabinet meeting in June. (AA)
