US President Biden will receive Scholz at the White House

In a written statement, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre announced that US President Biden will receive German Chancellor Scholz at the White House on Friday, March 3.

“The Chancellor’s visit is an opportunity to reaffirm the deep ties of friendship between the United States and our NATO ally Germany.” Jean-Pierre noted that the two leaders will discuss issues such as support for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia and strengthening transatlantic security on the anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war.

Jean-Pierre stated that Biden and Scholz will also discuss their ongoing cooperation on a variety of regional and global security issues, including working together in the face of China’s challenges and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. (AA)
