They raise the minimum wage to 1,080 euros in Spain
The Government, formed by a coalition of the Socialist Workers Party (PSOE) and Unidas Podemos parties, increased the minimum wage for the fourth time in the last 4 years of its mandate.
The Government has increased the minimum wage from 900 euros in 2019 to 950 (2020), 965 (2021), 1,000 (2022) and finally 1,080 euros today, respectively.
He pointed out that the increase in the minimum wage, which is made in 14 payments with two extras per year, will be effective as of January 1, 2023.
Yolanda DÃaz, leader of Unidas Podemos, who is Vice President of the Government and Minister of Labor, said that they have fulfilled their promises as a government.
DÃaz called on the Spanish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (CEOE) and the private sector to sit down with the unions in the collective agreements and resume negotiations for salary increases. (AA)
