Russia: Ukraine is trying to play us against Moldova
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mariya Zakharova stated that Ukraine is trying to pit Moldova against Russia, saying: “We absolutely reject the tropes that Russia is trying to undermine the situation in the Republic of Moldova.”
Zaharova made a written statement on Moldovan President Maya Sandu’s statement that “Russia plans to destabilize the situation in her country.” Noting that Sandu stated that the plans in question were handed over to her country by Ukraine, Zaharova emphasized that they were “unfounded” and “unfounded.”
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova used the following statements:
“These were created using classic techniques that the US, other Western countries, and the Ukraine often use. First, the charges are made with reference to so-called secret intelligence information that cannot be verified, which is then used to justify their own illegal actions. The main goal of kyiv, which spreads false information about this plan, is to engage Moldova in a tough confrontation with Russia.”
‘WE ARE NOT INTERFERING IN MOLDOVA’S INTERNAL BUSINESSES’
Stating that the Moldovan administration is trying to distract citizens from internal problems with such statements, Zaharova said:
“We absolutely reject the tropes that Russia is trying to undermine the situation in the Republic of Moldova. Unlike Western countries and Ukraine, we do not interfere in the internal affairs of Moldova and other countries of the world. Russia does not represent a threat to the security of the Republic of Moldova, favors the development of equal and reciprocal bilateral cooperation. We urge the Moldovan government to show wisdom, not succumb to external provocations and act in the interest of its own citizens.”
Moldovan President Sandu, in a statement yesterday, accusing Russia of planning subversive actions in his country, “the Kremlin’s attempts to bring violence to our country will not succeed.” he had used the phrase. (AA)
