Saudi Arabia sent relief planes to Aleppo to support disaster victims in Syria, which was hit by earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş.

The Saudi Arabian aid plane has arrived at Aleppo International Airport, the official Saudi Arabian news agency SPA reported. There are 35 tons and 322 kilograms of food, medical supplies and shelter in the plane sent for the victims of the earthquake in Syria.

Such support was claimed to have been provided within the scope of the “air aid corridor” established to support earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey. Bashar al-Assad’s SANA news agency also confirmed that the first Saudi Arabian plane carrying aid for earthquake victims arrived at Aleppo International Airport.

According to the SANA report, Falih es-Sebii, director of Saudi Arabia’s Joint Support Team for Earthquake Victim Assistance, said: “We stand with the brotherly Syrian people and offer our condolences on this great loss. The second plane will arrive on Wednesday and the third on Thursday, and other planes will be sent if necessary.
