Aid of 30 million dollars to Turkey caused a crisis in the country

$30 million Pakistan earthquake aid to Turkey sparked a crisis in the country

While the number of people who lost their lives in the earthquakes, whose epicenter was Kahramanmaraş on February 6, is increasing with every passing minute, aid movements are coming from many countries.

A post by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Twitter the previous day ignited a new debate in the country. Sharif said: “I was deeply moved when a Pakistani citizen, who did not reveal his name, entered the US embassy in Turkey and donated $30 million to those who lost their lives in the earthquake.” While Sharif also said aid is of great importance, these messages sparked a reaction in the country, which is in deep economic crisis.

According to official data, it was claimed that the foreign exchange reserves in the country were at a very low level and that the country was going through a crisis, and many social media users and journalists asked questions about why this benefactor did not help his country.

“WHY DON’T I GO TO THE PAKISTAN EMBASSY?”

Author Ayesha Siddiqa said: “It is shocking that this philanthropist has quietly come to the Pakistani embassy and failed to pay for flood relief. I wonder why?” Said. On the other hand, Ihtisan ul Haq, a journalist living in Pakistan, said, “Why doesn’t he go to the Pakistani embassy and look at it?”

While the Pakistani government did not make any further statement on the matter, no comment was made on who was the benefactor who withheld his name.
