Ukraine sanctions Russia’s nuclear industry
Ukrainian President Zelenskiy, in his daily video message posted in the evening, addressed the citizens and assessed the developments in the framework of the Russia-Ukraine war.
Noting that Russia is continuing its attacks against his country, Zelenskiy stressed that they have taken another sanctions step against Russia’s nuclear sector today.
Zelenskiy stated that the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) today signed the relevant decree for the decision to sanction Russia’s nuclear industry to enter into force.
Emphasizing that they will continue to take steps toward Russia, Zelenskiy said: “By signing the decree, I put into effect the NSDC’s sanction decision against 200 people working for the Russian nuclear company. We are doing everything possible to make the sanctions against the Russian nuclear industry part of the global sanctions against Russia because of the war.” he used his statements.
Stating that the Russian nuclear industry must be isolated from the relevant world systems, Zelenskiy said: “This also applies to those involved in the seizure and illegal actions of our Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. The blackmail of radiation from Russia to the world must be punished. ” He made an assessment of him.
Zelenskiy stated that the Russian military has launched attacks against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in recent days and that the planned power outages will continue across the country in the coming days. (AA)
