Norway sent a plane to the earthquake zone

Norway has sent two C-130 type military transport planes from its Armed Forces to Turkey to evacuate those affected by the Kahramanmaraş earthquake, described as the “disaster of the century”, and for their transfer to other provinces.

In the statement made on the social media account of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was indicated that the military planes sent to Turkey will support the evacuation of the wounded and the transport of emergency aid to the areas affected by the earthquake.

Emphasizing the importance of a rapid response to the devastating earthquakes affecting Turkey and Syria, the post included Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store’s statement: “In this very difficult situation, we must make all possible contributions.”

In the statement, it was stated that $14.6 million (approximately TL 275 million) was allocated from the Norwegian Humanitarian Fund to support those affected by the earthquake. (AA)
