$15 million Kuwaiti support for seismic zones in Turkey
According to reports from the country’s official news agency, KUNA, Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber es-Sabah of Kuwait and Crown Prince Meshal al-Ahmed al-Jaber es-Sabah delivered $30 million to Turkey. and Syria, which were hit by devastating earthquakes, asked for help.
It was indicated that of this amount, 15 million dollars will be sent to the regions affected by the earthquake in Turkey and 15 million dollars to the regions of Syria.
Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sabah phoned President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan and conveyed his solidarity with Turkey.
Sabah noted that his country immediately set up an air aid corridor to combat the effects of the earthquake and that the Cabinet decided to launch an emergency aid campaign for earthquake victims in the country.
The 46-person search and rescue team sent by Kuwait is also involved in the work in Hatay. (AA)
