The Pope calls for solidarity with Turkey and Syria

In the plenary session held in the Vatican on Wednesday, Pope Francis referred to the earthquake disaster in Turkey, which was effective in a wide area, including Syria.

“My thoughts at this time are with the people of Turkey and Syria, who were severely affected by the earthquake that killed and injured thousands of people. I pray for them with strong feelings. “I want to express my closeness to all those people and all those who have suffered this devastating disaster,” he said.

Inviting everyone to show solidarity with the seismic zones in the face of this disaster, the Pope said: “Let us pray together so that these brothers and sisters can get ahead in the face of this tragedy.” The Pope also thanked the humanitarian workers who faced hardships such as adverse weather conditions and severe road damage and tried to save lives in these difficult conditions, and asked to pray for them.
