Embassy of Israel: Equipment will be delivered to Turkey for the field hospital
In a written statement from the embassy, ”We feel the pain of the earthquakes that caused great loss of life and property in our hearts. Immediately after the first earthquake, with the fourth level of alarm sounding, the Foreign Ministries of the two countries contacted immediately with the initiatives of our embassy to deliver aid to the region.On the same day, the “Olive Branches” Humanitarian Aid Team, a joint initiative of the Israel Armed Forces, the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Israel, arrived in Adana to participate in search and rescue efforts in the disaster-affected areas and deliver humanitarian aid to citizens affected by the earthquake.
After the pioneer team arrived in the region, on the morning of February 7, the main team of 167 people, including search and rescue specialists and paramedics, and with experience in post-disaster intervention, arrived in the region with dogs search and rescue and the necessary equipment. First, 16 tons of emergency relief materials and technical equipment. Greeted by Deputy Chief of Mission Nadav Markman, the team immediately moved to the disaster areas. As of tomorrow (February 8), the necessary equipment for the installation of a complete field hospital and the work for the transfer of health personnel to the region are about to be completed.
