Second change to Biden’s White House team
In his written statement, Biden announced that Deese, who had been helping him with economic policy for the past two years, has resigned from his position.
Noting that high unemployment numbers and the economic crisis were prevailing in the country when he took office, Biden said they worked with Deese on these problems.
“HE HAS A UNIQUE TALENT”
Biden said Deese played an important role in the recovery of the economy, saying, “Brian has the unique ability to transform complex policy challenges into concrete actions that improve the lives of the American people.” he used the phrase.
Noting Deese’s role in important steps taken for the country’s economy, such as the American Recovery Plan, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act, the Chips and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act, Biden thanked Deese and his family for their contributions.
Biden did not share information about who will be the new director of the National Economic Council.
On January 27, US President Biden announced that White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain would be stepping down and Jeff Zients would replace him. Zients took office yesterday. (AA)
