French government anti-discrimination plan
French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, under different names in her cabinet, made statements on the 2023-2026 plan to combat racism, anti-Semitism and all discrimination at the Arab World Institute in Paris. Borne drew attention to the importance of education in the fight against discrimination.
Within the scope of the plan, it is intended to measure discrimination, provide better education about it, punish those who discriminate more severely, and better accompany their victims.
Within the scope of the plan, which includes 80 measures that cover different sectors such as education, work and justice, it is intended to expand “testing” experiments to measure discrimination in employment. As part of the “Testing” experiments, two equivalent CVs are sent changing only the information about the origin or the neighborhood of the candidates.
Within the scope of the plan, each student is expected to take part in a historical journey related to racism, antisemitism or antiziganism (antigypsyism) in their educational life. (AA)
