While Macron stated that Ukraine should make an official request for fighter jets, Rutte noted that such a request has not yet come from Ukraine.

WANTS MIGRATION TO BE “MANAGEABLE”

Rutte stated that the two countries largely agreed on the EU’s immigration policies and that the influx of immigrants into the EU should become “manageable”.

Macron said that he and Rutte touched on the issue of migration and that the union’s rules must be strengthened to better protect the EU’s external borders.

Stating that the current immigration system is ineffective in France, Macron said: “Currently, immigrant smugglers abuse the system. We have to make the system more efficient.” saying.

The leaders noted that they will meet with the leaders of the EU countries in Brussels on February 9 and 10 to discuss the issue of migration.

GREEN INDUSTRY FUND

Macron stated that the EU should also support EU companies that invest in the green industry against the US law to reduce inflation, which includes subsidies to the green industry.

Stating that they are at the beginning of the road in subsidizing the green industry, Rutte said: “We must strengthen our green technology.” saying.
