‘Angry’ Donald Trump kicks off presidential campaign Related Articles

Former US President Donald Trump began his campaign to return to the White House on Saturday. The 76-year-old did it for a small audience: He spoke to about 200 people in the states of New Hampshire and South Carolina.

Trump informed his audience that they were angrier than in previous campaigns, but also more determined. He reiterated his earlier claims that the 2020 election results were tampered with when he lost to Joe Biden, telling his audience that the 2024 election is “our only chance to save this country.”

This time the former president can count on a minor support from his own Republican party, in which several leaders are also planning to run for president. Among others, the governor of New Hampshire, one of the states Trump visited on Saturday, is evaluating his own election campaign. In one of his speeches, Trump criticized members of the Republican party who did not show allegiance to him. According to him, they are “even more dangerous than the Democrats.”

‘perverts’

In his speech, Trump also spoke out against transgender rights and critical race theory, the study of the effects of institutional racism. “We will stop the racists and radical leftist perverts who want to indoctrinate our youth and make sure they keep their Marxist hands off our children,” the former president said.
