Netanyahu: We will respond firmly and quickly
Netanyahu shared his statement to the press ahead of the cabinet meeting on his Twitter account.
Netanyahu noted that their response to the attack on East Jerusalem would be “strong, swift and unmistakable” and that they would demolish the homes of the attack perpetrators in a swift operation.
Stating that they do not want to escalate the tension, but are ready for any extraordinary situation, Netanyahu did not provide detailed information on his response.
Netanyahu also thanked US President Joe Biden, who called him and conveyed his shock and condolences.
2 ATTACKS WERE RECEIVED
9 Palestinians, including a 60-year-old woman, were killed in an Israeli army raid on the Jenin refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank on January 26.
