Workers inspired by Robin Hood launched civil disobedience

According to reports in the French press, employees of the energy sector of the General Union of Labor (CGT) showed their reactions to the pension reform by initiating acts of disobedience in many cities for a few days, inspired by the hero of the story Robin Hood. .

The employees, who started the free flow of energy to kindergartens, schools, hospitals, universities, libraries, foundations, public swimming pools, gyms and lodgings, also reduced the energy bills of small businesses such as butchers and bakeries at the lowest rate .

Fabrice Coudour, general secretary of the Energy and Mining Unions within the CGT body, announced that they will continue their actions in the cities of Lille, Nantes, Lyon, Nice, Marseille and Saint-Nazaire as well as Paris.

EMPLOYEES WILL SHUT OFF MANAGERS

“This is just the beginning. We will continue to do Robin Hood actions whenever we want,” Coudour said, adding that they will continue their actions by cutting off the power to public administrations and institutions that support the reform.

Coudour called for a greater participation in the protests that will take place in the country on January 31 against the government’s pension reform.

French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire described the actions as “unacceptable” in a statement to Europe 1 radio.

THE GOVERNMENT REACTED

Le Maire said: “In France, it is not the CGT that decides, it is not the CGT that sets the rates, it is the state, not the CGT, that will decide who pays what. It is the French people through their representatives. he used his statements.

The unions, on the other hand, argued that their actions were legal within the ambit of the right to strike. (AA)
