Attack on the embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran: there are dead
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that an armed attack was carried out on its embassy in Tehran and a security guard was killed.
In a statement issued by the ministry, it was said that the attacker opened fire on the embassy building with an automatic weapon.
The Azerbaijani media announced the name of the person who lost his life.
The deceased person was announced to be Orhan Asgarov, head of the embassy security team. The attacker was recorded to have been caught while two people were injured in the incident. An investigation was launched while on-site investigations were underway.

In his message, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said: “I condemn the treacherous attack on the Tehran Embassy of Azerbaijan. I wish God’s mercy for our martyred brother, my condolences for his relatives and the people of Azerbaijan, and a speedy recovery for the wounded. Azerbaijan is never alone,” he said.
