IMF weighs $1 billion aid package for Ukraine

The report says the IMF is considering a $16 billion multi-year aid package for the country to help meet Ukraine’s needs and provide a catalyst for more international funding.
THE PACKAGE WILL COVER 3-4 YEARS
The plan will require changes to the IMF’s lending rules so that the fund can lend to the war-torn country, the Kyiv government has committed to a number of policies, as well as successfully completing the four-month IMF program without cash approved last year recorded that would be required.
In the news, it was indicated that, if approved, the package would cover a period of 3 to 4 years and the payment of 5 to 7 billion dollars is expected to be made in the first year.
