The G7 discussed the economic situation of Ukraine
In a written statement from the White House, Mike Pyle, National Security Adviser for International Economics, was reported to have attended the opening meeting of the Ukraine Peace Coordination Platform Administrative Committee, which was formed by the countries of the G7, including representatives of the Government of Ukraine and international financial institutions.
In the statement, it was stated that the representatives discussed Ukraine’s urgent financial needs, as well as coordination of the country’s future economic recovery and reconstruction efforts.
In the statement, it was emphasized that the necessary support will be provided to stabilize the Ukrainian economy and ensure a sustainable recovery, while appreciating the economic reform agenda of the Ukrainian government.
In the statement in which Pyle thanked Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal, Finance Minister Sergey Marchenko, European Commission official Gert Jan Koopman and Japan for their contributions, the next meeting was announced to be held in March. (AA)
