Cholera has spread to 26 countries! The death toll is rising rapidly
The death toll due to the cholera epidemic in Malawi is rising rapidly.
According to data from the Malawi Ministry of Health, 12 people have died in the last 24 hours in the cholera epidemic that broke out in March 2022 and 626 new cases were detected.
THE DEATH TOLL IS 1002
While the total cases in the country of about 20 million people rose to 29,995, the number of people who lost their lives was 1,002.
Health Minister Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda called on the public to pay attention to hygiene rules and use clean water.
Cholera, an infectious disease of the small intestine caused by the bacterium “Vibrio cholerae”, can manifest with symptoms such as watery diarrhea, vomiting and muscle cramps in the infected person.
