Germany’s most wanted woman turns herself in: thief found, money missing
Billed as “Germany’s most wanted woman”, Mirnesa S., 42, who disappeared late last year after stealing 1 million euros from the money transfer company she worked for, turned up weeks later.
In the Bild news, one of the most widely read newspapers in Germany, it was announced that Mirnesa landed yesterday at Stuttgar airport and turned herself in to the police. Although it was stated that there was great pressure on Mirnesa, it was also noted that the young woman was in Montenegro for some time.
THE FUTURE OF MONEY IS UNKNOWN
While investigating what Mirnesa did with the missing million euros, he also stated that it is not known where the money is now. The sources who spoke to Bild also claimed that Mirnesa did not provide enough information to the police.
The persecution began after Mirnesa, who committed the robbery in October 2022, disappeared. Chief Inspector Ilona Bonn told Bild: “More than 180 reports came in from all over Europe. But these were inconclusive and we couldn’t find the woman,” she said. A reward of 37,500 euros was placed on Mirnesa’s head.
