More secret documents were found in US President Joe Biden’s home on Friday, this time six documents from Biden’s time as a senator. The pieces were found by Justice Department investigators who searched his home. It is surprising, says US correspondent Jan Postma, that the Ministry of Justice is now conducting the investigation, and not Biden’s employees.
According to Postma, Biden was in the Senate from 1973 to 2009, “so it could take several years. We know the notes were also taken by the federal police, but what was in it and how dangerous or secret it was, is not clear.”
What is remarkable is that before it was Biden’s own employees who invented the documents, now justice has taken the initiative and the FBI is investigating. In consultation with Biden, who gave permission for this. “So there’s no search warrant like with Trump at the time.”
