The pieces were found by Justice Department investigators who searched his home.
Biden and his wife Jill were not present during the search, which took more than 12 hours, according to a statement released by his attorney Bob Bauer Saturday night (local time). He said the researchers also took some handwritten notes from Biden from his time as vice president.
